It’s a LEGO bicycle helmet
MOEF’s Hair Bike Helmet is a joint project of Denmark-based advertising firm DDB and product development company Sabroe & Elmkvist (formerly MOEF). It’s a headgear prototype conceptualized and created so that kids will be more motivated to wear their helmets while biking as a safety measure. Its production is a part of a campaign DDB launched for Børneulykkesfonden (Children’s Accident Fund), a Danish nonprofit organization advocating for child safety.
The classic LEGO action figure’s hair became the main inspiration for this head gear’s playful concept, digitally enlarged to the size of a regular helmet. This whole product is formed through 3D printing technology and airbrush painted to make a nearly exact replica of the iconic toy’s hairstyle.

At the time of this writing, no. The Hair Bicycle Helmet’s “hair” does look like that of LEGO figurines, but the product isn’t licensed by the toy company, yet.

Many have been clamoring for this helmet ever since it was publicly made known. Sadly, it’s still at the prototype stage, so the item is not on the market yet. But we’ve got our fingers crossed in hopes that the final product will be available soon!
