It’s a fixed octopus tentacle door handle

Made in Paris, France by Gregory Besson, the Vintage Octopus Tentacle Door Handle originally materialized from his need of door handles for his own boat and since a lot of people took a liking to it, the skull-loving artist decided to sell them in small batches on his Etsy store.

Be sure to also check out his shop’s other listings as he sometimes sells these cephalopod arms in silver and other interesting variations or as pairs with a suckingly sweet 15%+ discount.

It ships within 3 to 5 business days after payment and is made to order. Sorry, no returns and refunds.

Awesome product features

  • Artistically-aged vintage look appeal: A final acrylic coating of natural and green patina finish is hand-brushed in every twisty tentacle-filled arm, giving each piece an old nostalgic aged-style that makes it look like it came straight out of a 19th-century Jules Vern Steampunk novel.
  • Sea salt air corrosion-resistant: Most decorative fixtures don’t do well near the sea, but not this one. Staying true to its marine design, the Vintage Octopus Tentacle Door Handle doesn’t rust and is made for any kind of humid environment; beach houses, boats, and bathrooms included.
  • Light but tough as any door handle: This nautical piece is lighter than one of the sea creature’s real arms and most brass door handles but sturdy enough for daily usage, including the occasional human-octopus fondling.

Who will appreciate this as a gift

Who doesn’t love a good lively and somewhat bizarre-looking home accent, right?

Those who love blue-blooded sea creatures, attention-grabbing sculptures, old stuff, and Steampunk will gladly take this Vintage Octopus Tentacle Door Handle out of your hands. It has a unique charm that sparks a mixture of mystery and curiosity, bound to leave a lifetime’s worth of impression. Let’s just say it will be a while before you need to suck up again.

Because you need to know

What is the best orientation for this door handle?

This will depend on what you think will look better. If you are going for a more standard style, a 90 degree horizontal and vertical orientations would be your options. For a more non-conventional dynamic feel, diagonal would be better.

Can I install the Vintage Octopus Tentacle Door Handle on any kind of door?

Any door that you can drive a screw in will do. This also means that glass doors might not be a good option unless you are willing to customize it and provide a metal or wooden base plates for this handle to connect to.
